
Chris Atherton
GÉANT
Chris is a Research Engagement Officer at GÉANT and is responsible for Copernicus project co-ordination across the organisation.
Chris has been working at GÉANT for over 2 years, supporting a range of research organisations specifically in the Earth Observation and Planetary Science communities. Chris provides an account management function for a number of large research infrastructures, as well as technical business development for both network and trust & identity services, specifically eduTEAMS. Chris is also co-chair of the Group on Earth Observation Advancing Communication Infrastructure and Services (GEO-ACIS) working group, which is helping to promote sustainable communications infrastructure development for the use of Earth Observation community globally.
Chris holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Networks and Security from Birmingham City University, UK.
